Jacob Hawkins from Overstock.com and Pinny Gniwisch from Ice.com are going to examine in detail examples of various retailers that have pushed the boundaries for traditional marketing strategy. In this interactive session, Pinny and Jacob are going to share some of their personal favorite “A-HA Moments” and debate whether they are examples of successful creative marketing or poor decision making that dilutes the brand, wastes money, and causes customer confusion.
It should be fun i just love Jacob from overstock.com, he being a 6′9″Mormon and me being a 5′9″ Jew is always a funny site and then we go at it the results have always been great.

eTail 2008 and Eve
I recently spoke at eTail east 2008 about the new consumer in a web 2.0 world, offering my opinion on Eve and The Apple - what went wrong with that transaction. The eTail conferences always have a myriad of great presenters and panels to learn from and it’s also the perfect opportunity to meet with like-minded retailers and share ideas.
Finally, thanks to my friend Jay Shaffer for his response to my presentation . If he enjoyed my banana peel example, wait for my next appearance at Shop.org in September, where I will share my ‘A-Ha moments’ and how to make 3 changes to better your online results for the holidays.
